Where Wisconsin Rugby Begins
Growing the game from the ground up.
A Tradition of Grit
The Muskego Rugby Club (MRC) is one of the top rugby programs in Wisconsin year after year. Founded in 1997 as part of an initiative by the Wisconsin Rugby Football Union (WRFU), MRC was built with a clear mission: introduce youth to rugby and grow the game from the ground up.
That youth-first approach has paid off. Rugby has become one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States over the past decade, fueled in part by its inclusion in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Interest, participation, and opportunity continue to rise nationwide.
MRC has played a key role in that growth. Many Muskego alumni have gone on to compete at the collegiate and men’s levels, helping establish Wisconsin and the Midwest as a national rugby powerhouse.
It all starts here.
